Here's how it works:
You take a picture of a key using the app.The app then analyzes the photo and identifies the unique pattern, or 'bitting', of the key.If you're also using the InstaCode Live app on your Android device, Snap Decoder can send this bitting data directly to it. This allows you to quickly create a code that can be used to cut a new key with one of InstaCode Live's supported machines.
Even if you don't use InstaCode Live, Snap Decoder comes pre-loaded with a selection of common key series, so you can still find the information you need.
The app has built-in features to adjust for potential issues like shadows in the photo or a worn-down key tip. It includes references for different types of keys from various manufacturers, saving you the time and hassle of searching for this information online.
